Abstract

The article presents new trends associated with difficult skills of conducting negotiations. The effect of changes brought about in Polish economy, which influence Polish negotiators, has been presented here, the same as a historical outline of negotiations viewed as science. An effort to present a typical Polish negotiator as opposed to his western counterpart has been made. The paper also presents some attributes a skilled business negotiator should posses. Attention was paid to most common mistakes made during negotiations being conducted, to their sources and after-effects. Some negotiation strategies have been offered, which will be helpful in solving conflicts depending on the situation we deal with.
