Abstract

This article reviews the trends prevailing among young Cypriots as regards entrepreneurship, as well as their perceptions regarding the institutional obstacles to entrepreneurship, i.e. their potential and the opportunities they are given to do business. The main study objective of this article is to approach and analyze the way young persons embark on their ‘maiden voyage’ into entrepreneurship, in conjunction with other factors, which are explained below. The methodology used here is the questionnaires and the focus groups method.
